Project Description

At AES, we share a purpose of accelerating the future of energy, together, which we believe is only possible when we work hand-in-hand with our people and stakeholders of all backgrounds, differences, and perspectives.

Creating a robust and inclusive community is a critical step to advancing our DE&I objectives. One way we do this is through our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), which connect people, both locally and globally, who share common interests and are united by promoting a unifying purpose. The ERGs are aligned with our values and promote inclusion and connection while establishing mutually beneficial relationships between our people and the communities in which we operate.

Participation in an ERG is voluntary, and AES has always encouraged networks like these, often initiated and built by our people organically. Our ERGs include identity-based groups like the AES Asian Network, AESVets, AES Black Professionals Network, AES Pride Network, and various AES Women’s networks. There also are generational and cross-functional networks, such as Emerging Professional Networks and various shared social interest networks.

We believe celebrating the unique background of all stakeholders cultivates an inclusive and supportive workplace. AES recognizes multiple events and holidays that provide an opportunity to recognize and honor the diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities of our people.
